I am a Republican who is very unhappy with Bush. I don't have a problem with people who criticize Bush or Republicans, but it would be nice to see it done with some intelligence and fairness. A lot of people on this site act as if all Republicans are morons or evil. That doesn't stimulate discussion, it just puts people on the defensive. Most Republicans I know are good people. They are not wealthy, they are not bigots, they just don't agree with the far left tendencies of today's Democrats. Many of us come from Democratic families and would still be Democrats if the party was anything like it was in the 1960's. We didn't move to the Right, the Democratic party moved far to the left.

They're bored, not turned off. They were turned off when Clinton Inc. started indoctrinating the left into thinking that everything Bush does is wrong, in an attempt to get Comrade Hillary into the White House. Now the sarcasm is nothing but a broken record and is tiresome. Boredom is the result.

Just because you are paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you.
Shoot man, as long as you don't resort to cussing and name calling I'll debate you about anything. And I'll let you pick the topic and choice of sides pro-or-con.
Just to correct a minor point. Our country was founded because the King of England wanted to tax us and yet give us not representation in parliment. You know the taxation without representation thingy. Of course here we are over two hundred and thirty years later. And we've found that taxation WITH representation isn't so hot either.

I'm not "turned off" by sarcasm of Bush for I also have been sarcastic at times regarding his stance on illegal immigration. My problem with sarcasm comes when it is attached to an agenda and is used to advance that agenda. If an agenda has merit it should be able to stand on it's own without one resorting to sarcasm, name calling, etc., of those who oppose that agenda. However, I am very sensitive regarding the war in Iraq because my youngest son has served two combat tours (5th Group, Special Forces) there and I have come to depend upon our service men and women to get the true progress picture of the war for we do not get it from the media (or the democrat party). ...and that turns me off. Big time! PS: Thanks for the kind words in your premise.

I've been bouncing around Y!A for about a month now and have spent most of my time in the political areas. And yet I have never seen you. I went to your profile and don't recognize any of your questions. Makes me wonder. So, I've got to ask, and I mean this in no disrespect, but aren't you feeling just a little self important?

Judging by the number of juvenile and sophomoric questions and answers here I'm guessing that the age of the average user is no more than 13 or that that is their I.Q.

Ummm...we are turned off by your bush-bashing. And I'm sure the others would agree with me...unless they're liberals.
