It's Seussical. Yes you should audition, it's fun! If you're very small you could possibly be Jojo, but most likely you'd audition for another role.

Everything else you need is on these two pages:

From the info you have given, I'd guess it was a musical adaptation of one of Theodore Seuss' nonsensical tales, which have enchanted kids for generations. Cat in the Hat, The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, etc.
Try googling the word 'Suessical' and see what comes up.
Should you audition? Sure. If you don't audition, you don't have any chance to play. So go ahead and audition.
If you want to know for sure what the musical is about, contact whoever is holding the auditions and ask if the script is available, and whether there are parts for fourteen year olds who have had musical theatre experience.

This was the musical at my school, it was amazing. We planned 4 shows, and they all sold out, so we added a 5th show last minute, which also sold out! People love it.

1. Yes you should, it's always good for experience, and it is so much fun. It's ALL in ryhme and for the two weeks leading up to the performance, when we spoke it accidentally rhymed.

2. It's based on the Dr. Seuss books; Horton hears the Whos and tried to get people to help. But everyone else thinks Horton is crazy, except for Mazie. She tries hard to impress Horton by taking pills for a bigger tail. But when Horton is kidnapped by the circus, she can't save him because her tail is too heavy to fly! Meanwhile, in Whoville, Jojo, the mayors son, keeps thinking, so his parents send him to the military, run by Ghangis Kahn Schmidtz, to fight in the battle of butter, against those who eat their toast upside down. It ends in the courtroom, where Horton is put on trial by the Sour Kangaroo, with the Who hopeless because they can't be loud enough, and the jury and judges who can't hear them. It's up to Jojo to save the day, and he does, by yelling a think so loud that everyone can hear.

3. Yes, even though the production I was in was at my high school(I was Mrs. Mayor), we had everyone from elementary schoolers to highschoolers. There are parts for everyone, young and old, alto or soprano, bold voices or quieter voices.

I think you should, it was the most fun and succesful musical I've ever been in. It also might help if you can juggle/ride a unicycle or any other cirsus type act, as there is a cicus part. But you don't have to, that's just a suggestion.

"Suessical the Musical" is a musical based on the books of Dr Suess that debuted in 2000. The play's story is a rather complex algamation of many of Suess' most famous books.
The overarching plot of the show mirrors that of "Horton Hears a Who!", centering on Horton the elephant's endevors to protect the people of Who-ville, who live on a tiny speck of dust.
My guess is since it's a musical based on children's books, a young teenager like yourself with the training and experience that you have would have a more than decent chance on getting a part.

I haven't seen it, but it's a musical based on the works of Dr. Suess, such as Horton Hears a Who.

The show would appeal to children as well as adults who remember these books. It has potential to be wildly successful, so if you have an opportunity to audition, go for it. And I'm sure there would be roles for 14 year olds, yes.

yeah go for it. The worst that could happen is you don't get in, which is what would happen if you didn't at least try.
