It took us 9 months. I have a friend who has been trying 15 months and no luck yet. Then again, her sister-in-law got pregnant on the first cycle after stopping the pill.

I got pregnant the first month after I got off the pill. The doctor's like you to wait 3 months, but that is just to get your cycle back to normal and make it easier to estimate the due date. It won't harm the baby in anyway to get pregnant that soon. It just makes it hard to know when you ovulated and it can make it harder to predict the due date. I had a sonogram at 10 weeks to confirm the due date and it was only 3 days off of the LMP due date.

A friend said after her first child was born she was on the pill for 3 years and they decided to have two children.
She stopped taking the pill and 9 months later the second child was born.

went off the pill in February, got pregnant in April, and that was because we used other birth control for that time. I had been on it for around 7 yrs at that time. Same thing second time around.

Most ob/gyn's suggest waiting at least four months after coming off the pill, but I know lots of people who have come off and gotten pregnant the very same month.
