Honestly...I would rather give birth...I mean, you forget that pain, it goes away. If you don't have your wisdom teeth removed, you're going to be in constant pain...and hooked on pain meds. Once you've moved through all the pain meds that your doctor will give you (you're starting...since the vicodin no longer works)...then you still have the pain! The pain can last a LONG time and increase in intensity as your wisdom teeth put more pressure on your other teeth. I'd rather give birth 10 times than go through that!

I have the wisdom tooth pain right now, and have to say it might be worse. At least childbirth has an end to it and you have something wonderful as a result. Wisdom tooth pain, goes on indefinitely and you have nothing to show for it.
If Vicodin doesn't work you may have to go to the dentist. I'm taking time release arthritis acetaminophen, which helps but only for 5-8 hours. It takes constant drugging!

I'm 26 and still have my wisdom teeth. They haven't bothered me in years because they are finished coming in. They did hurt for several years though, off and on as they were coming in. My dentists have never seen a reason to remove my wisdom teeth, so I never bothered to go through with the removal...and my teeth are perfect. However, I think most people do need them removed because otherwise their mouth becomes crowded. If you don't need them removed, then just give it some time and the pain will go away.

I have 3 kids and I would rather go into labor than have my teeth hurt. Labor pain is over quickly. When your teeth hurt it affects your whole body and it does not go away unless you go to the dentist to get it taken care of. Just go, have them give you some gas and you will be ok.
BTW all 3 kids born naturally :)

i know that you said you won't get your teeth pulled but you should it can cause so many problems like making you other teeth go crooked also more than likely if you don't get them pulled soon they will start to raut then get infected and you will have more problems than just getting them pulled...getting your teeth isn't that bad i had them put me out cuz i'm such a baby when it comes to pain but even so i was off the pain killers they gave me within 4 days

My aunt once told me she had tooth pain so bad she got a fifth of vodka, and drank it until she passed out cold. She said it did the trick temporarily, and she would do it again if necessary. I don't know if she needed a whole fifth though.

ha! child birth pain is far worse---try scrapping your insides out with a knife for as many hours of labour you go into...that's the comparision. Wisdom teeth, a walk in the park!

any pain is better than having a child. mine is 12 years old and the pain still lives fresh in my mind.

your teeth can hurt more than giving birth. my wife told me. she told me she made the mistake of getting her teeth removed and the mistake of giving birth. she said the teeth hurt more.
