Gotta say in College football, I can't think of another one as big. In life?
Miracle on Ice is still #1 for me, a bunch of kids from the USA knocking off the overpowering dominate Soviet team, even though I wasn't even alive when it happened it's still got to be the greatest moment because it reflected not only a changing of the guard in sports, but in the world as well and the outside sport ramifications of that game are far greater then anything today.
Iraq playing for the Bronze in soccer in the last summer Olympics was a great worldwide moment too, after a war, many different fighting fractions coming together for the good of a nation, that truly is the Olympic spirit is all about.

Appalachian State is the best 1-AA team in the nation. They beat the 5th ranked team in the nation. Everyone should be shocked.
Never before had a Division I-AA team beat a ranked opponent and Appalachian State did it before more than 107,000 hostile fans. Appalachian State's shocking 34-32 victory over Michigan in the Big House on Saturday afternoon will go down as one of the greatest upsets of all-time.
No coach has done less with more talent than Lloyd Carr, goodbye national championship hopes.

No doubt, it's the biggest upset in college football ever, because Michigan was ranked #5 and was playing at home.
I'd put it right up there with Buster Douglas knocking out Mike Tyson.

C'mon.....Ohio state fan??? What's wrong with you ???
I was at the game, a little upsetting we didn't win of course, but can't win them all. We played not to the best of our ability, and ASU obviously came to play. So yes, it was upsetting, but they were the better team Saturday. :(
