i have a viewsonic vx715 monitor and it used to work fone before but now when i turn it on it goes on and off?

when it goes on and off i dont just mean the display but the power too
i cant be the power outlet because all the components i.e. processor and the speakers work fine
i cant be the drivers because i downloaded them form their website and they are fine

please help

Does it also make a noise? Old monitors do this when the high voltage supply "crowbars". There is no cure, start pricing monitors.

The soft on/off relay is most likely the culprit here
