how do I install the device for more sound on my computer?

I bought a boosting sound device from my local Wal-Mart and it does not work. I followed instructions to the letter.

What precicely do you mean by "sound boosting device" a small amp ?

Did you fit batteries / plug it in ?

If you followed instructions and it still doesn't work TAKER IT BACK, maybe you for a dud one !

I don't know what a boosting sound device is. Do you mean a new sound card? If so you will need to install proper drivers before the new hardware will work.
