i really wanted to discuss with you two movies that i really really feel their reality and that they are a truth taking place among us nowadays.
first, the two movies are "Film Thakkaaffy" (don't know an english translation but may be a " Porno movie" )...........and the other one is "Awkaat Faraagh" ( "Leisure Time").
those two movies, far from the actors and some scenes, are really a great success in describing our situation now in Egypt and among youth............even between "Men" & "Women".

the movies really disccussed the bad situation youth living nowadays from leisure time, drugs, girls and sex.........etc,
.............it's also disccussing the inability of guys to get married because of the bad financial situation, which leads him that his great aim and target at the moment is watching "Porno", and how he seeks many ways and behaves to watch it.

there is a lot to be said............but i wish to know your viewpoints and disccuss it with me :-)
thanks in advance !!

what i like it best, is the solutions you provided me with...........it shows that however bad things are in the society and the corruption of the government, still there are other things that we can rely on as religion, manners, new ideas....etc,
wow!!.......still i'm starving for more answers :-D

shofi ya nada, I will tell you a secret, the problem is not with the guys nor the girls, because in logic, in all of the world, young people do not have money, The problem is related to families, and parents, they want their daughters to get married to ready guys, which does not happen anywhere else than here, driven by the fear of future ,, and we can say greedness,,,IT IS normal that guys and girls start with nothing and build their life together,,,that used to happen in Egypt(anyone can ask his parents how they did start) ,,,,
''al-3antazah wal an3arah alkadabah drove guys to (yakfaroh men hyat-hom) and girls (ya3nasoh)
...hahahaha

edit :Ok Nada you want solutions:
1)The parents must know ,that to protect their children they have to facilitate life for them, Religion wise you can not judge a person without giving him/her the ability to take the correct path,
2) The youth must accept : step by step start , I know there is housing available in remote areas, and it is not expensive, girls should accept living not{ fe hodn} their moms .I know houses which are for rent, (mesh tamleek) and my be a little small, but (3ala kad lehafak med rglak) and, by time they can (the couple) achieve what they want
3) The youth should accept the jobs available in the market, they do not have to stuck to their studies,, today by chance a friend of mine called me from USA, he is an Egyptian who has just immigrated there, He refused to work but a project manager in Egypt, he accept a post of ‘assistant engineer ‘ there, another Egyptian engineer in Europe is working as tram driver, while I saw an old engineer works as a bass boy in a hotel abroad,,, why there and not here?
4)What is better a wedding party, or a ring (wee shabkah) or saving money for the future.
5) We should qualify our youth to make money not to be managers, and wake them up from the glory of the past illusions ,the nice songs they chat, we were, we are, almasrian ahoma, we have to admit our problems first to try to solve them.
5) we should not blame the government alone for our problems, the government is not Papa and mama, we have now a free market, a capitalist society, we should solve our problems by ourselves, other wise viva the communism, and down the capitalism, Rich people should pay their taxes to enable the government to provide social services, Do you know how much the government is subsidizing the Egyptian bread (al3ish al baladi )only, LE 9 billions… and we do not produce much,,,(yagebo mennan ya3ni)..We have to change how we think first, automatically, the system will be changed to the better , (if we depend on ourselves to be fed , the domination of any system would lose its power as the only reference for our surviving )

yes, these twofilms discuss issues of youths in a conservative country, egypt here can be any other arab country.
the youths daily communicate with the ther sex. the males are curious about the girls , and vice versa .this is a natural instinct that cannot be controlled.
this curiosity becomes an obsession when it doesnt have an outlet.
in the near past, young men graduated and workesd so they became sort of independent . they could find a place to live in with bent el hhalal.and they could start a family of their own.
nowadays, there are no jobs, so the desires of the youths cannot be fulfilled except in exceptional cases in which the parents are rich and support their sons/ daughters .
the youths of today are therefore drifting without even hoping , bec they know their hopes would be in vain.

the youths in these two films are keen on getting a close look at the other sex.the complications are comic and realistic. we are watching characters that we can identify in real life.
the films make us live the dilemma of the young men and women of our times.
the films do not offer solutions, bec it's not the business of art to give solutions.
however, they make us think. i suggest that the ministry of housing would build apartments for young couples . these apts would be like the studios we see abroad . they dont cost much and if rented, wouldnt be expensive.
this would be supported by a plan to offer jobs for graduates . in this case , youths wouldnt suffer as they do in such films. they would lead stable lives.

Nada, you're touching a very thorny problem this time, yes we live a very bad and difficult time especially here in Egypt, and yes we suffer difficult financial situations. But let's see it from another viewpoint, I saw both movies and as you also did, you know that the problem discussed in the first one, Film Thaqafy, or at least the common factor of the 3 main actors of the movie was the financial problem and unemployment, while in the second movie, the common factor of most of characters of the movie was the high standard of living, yet they used to do a greater sin, adultery. What I wanna say is that IT'S NOT ABOUT EXTERNAL CIRCUMSTANCES, IT'S ALL ABOUT SELF ATTITUDE

Imagine with me, with the same unemployment and financial difficulties, that a young man with these problems stick to his religious teachings, whatever his religion is, he would not watch porno movies or try to tend to adultery but as a Muslim for example, he would fast and avoid every thing that may excite him sexually.
And for girls, imagine they follow our respectful traditions in respectful clothes and respectful dealing with other gender.
Also imagine with me in case a young man wanted to marry a girl who he loves and she loves him back, what if her family don't ask him to get things (a super apartment, a high dower, a very expensive wedding present (shabka),.....) which may need some 250,000 which not every youth can afford.
With all this positive attitude, do you think we will still have the same situation, I don't think so.

May Allah guide us and help us all, Amen.

Light comes into the eye, is picked up by the retina, converted into nerve signals, and thus instantiates activity in the visual cortex, etc. This all takes time, which means what we experience is actually millisecond after the event that sent out the light. Thus, the statement is simply true. This does not at all imply that awareness is not part of this reality. If I say the image on a movie screen is millisecond behind the light coming from the projector to make that image, does that mean the movie screen is not part of showing the movie?

I agree with u. Those 2 movies do come from reality and show some examples of how things are nowadays in our society.
Actually, I realized there are a lot of Egyptian made movies that do come from reality...

There are two movies that I believe are totally factual. "3an al3ishq wal hawa" and "al7ayah montaha el laza" I love those 2 movies and believe almost all examples given in the movies do really exist in our lives and there are a lot of people who were faced with similar experiences such as love, lust, confusion, and betrayal.

by the way, where is Noha, I talked to her online once but never saw her again. salimily 3aliha ba2a

The answer to both Movies comes within the first movie "Film Thaqafy" or "Educational Movie" when Barayez said after investigating the Video:

"The defect is not there, it's not also in you.. it's in the SYSTEM"....

A gesture about a bad "System" that lead those young men to be so....

Can anyone help me with a movie called: Li-Li of Amr Waked? 1/2 an hour signifying a dancer trying to take an Imam to sin.. while he resists...

Asalam alaikum, we have to be Very careful with movies at all. Even movies that may seem to be trying to help with social issues. If they dont include the Islamic remedy,or at least make u think of it, then what good are they? Havent we learned that we cannot think of better solutions than the Quran and Sunnah? When people discuss such things as sex etc and arent doing it from an Islamic persepective, it can have the opposite effect of encouraging people to explore these things. So lets all be careful, Insha'Allah, salaams

u r very right, nada, i agree with u & with all guys & girls in this quesion (their ansers).
but u kbow wut? the situation in the 2 movies r the same in all arabic countries & even almost muslim countries.
any way,i haven't seen Awkat Faragh, but ive seen Film Sakafi.they both describe the situation now adays, i'm real sorry & sad 2 admit it,but this is the truth we r living every single day.Arabs & muslims r getting more nonpolite every day (إلا من رحم الله )
this is really interesting question.
i think the solution is 2 reduce marrige costs by both parts (his & her parents),back days in our Prophet's days (pbuh)he married a man has no money, but has 1/4 of the Qura'n 2 a muslim girl.
also the Prophet said in hadeeth saheeh : يا معشر الشباب من استطاع منكم الباءة فليتزوج.
there's alot of talkin i wanna talk, but there's no enough space والله
here in LIbya we r suffering (both guys & girls), i think at egypt 2,cuz we don wanna get envolved in Haram.
aaaaaaaaaaaaaah, wut can i say,may Allah help us 2 get married & give us the good end.
Amen
