Hey! Hey! App is NOT a bumpkin school! That's where I went to college! I also think it's FANTASTIC that they beat Michigan! It's good for some teams to get knocked off their high horse by the underdog sometimes!

It was no fluke. Appalachian State was the 2-time defending champion "bumpkins"...remember, Marshall was once a Division I-AA school, too.

not a fan of either school, but I love to see the big guy fall from time to time.
anyone see Boise State on Thurs. I don't have a clue where Weber is from but Boise slapped them 56-7. Great game And Idaho losing to USC 38-10? Still f-ing great, Idaho is a VERY small school, I think they did very great!

Don't really care for either team but I really dislike Michigan so I am glad they lost.. I live real close to the university of Notre Dame and they were killed by Georgia Tech Saturday, that did make me sad lol.

parity is alive in the NFL, and the NCAA is working on it. just proof the big dollar colleges cannot always buy a sacrificial lamb for opening weekend. there were a couple of other upsets, as well as a couple of other close calls (usc vs Idaho).
and the big guys always used to like to go to Hawaii for a break for their players. and what happened to Notre Dame this weekend

Not my team, I just think it goes to show that all the $$$ that big programs spend don't always amount to a pile of squat.
Congrats all Big 10 school's your strength of conference sucks this season after that loss!!!

I watched it....neither of them are teams I go for however, I thought it was pretty damned awesome!
Just goes to show, even at the top, there is always someone or something that can knock you off your perch lol!

Well, I'm an Ohio State fan, so I enjoyed it very much! My dad and I were jumping up and down and going nuts!! It was awesome!!
