No problem. Lots of ppl grow differently and carry differently. Just like some carry high or low, some are small and big. I am 35 weeks or 8 1/2 mos and I look 6 1/2 or 7 mos along compared to other women. I have a friend who is 2 weeks LESS pregnant than I am but looks about 4 weeks MORE pregnant than me. I had a flat belly for quite some time and didn't start to get a hump until i was around 24wks. Even then it wasn't too noticeable. I look back now and I kind of look pregnant and then again I kind of look like I have a pot belly. So yep it's normal. And don't worry about your baby either. Even though I seem small to others my baby is right on track for fetal size. You see or hear about some ladies with big bellies who have gained 50-70lbs and come out w/ a 6lb baby and then others who look small and gain 30lbs have an 8 lbs baby! ...AND even though I seem small to others I've gained a lot of weight! (32lbs)
PS I saw a lady online yesterday that asked if she looked big for 14 weeks. At 14 weeks she looked like what I looked like at 27 weeks! Just shows how different we all are!

I'll be at 18 weeks and am just starting to need looser fitting pants or maternity wear. This will also be my 6th child and they say the more you have the earlier you show. I guess we're already stretched out by this point! I wouldn't worry about it if the doctor says you're growing fine. Also, some people "show" earlier because they're eating for two rather than just adding the extra 300 calories that the baby needs. I made that mistake with my first and gained an extra 60 pounds! I was still "showing" for 9 months following his birth!

Everyone's different. I'm 17 weeks and also hardly showing at all. I have a friend who's 18 weeks pregnant and she looks huge! It all depends on your body type, what your weight was to start with, how tall you are, whether this is your first pregnancy.
I worry about it too though. I asked my doctor why I didn't have a pregnant belly yet, but she wasn't worried. She said I'm fine for my weight/height/body type. Best wishes!

I honestly don't think I showed until I was well over 6 months! It bothered me because it seemed like everyone was always telling me about how tiny I was and so on (which bothered me because I wanted a belly!) My babies fine though and now I have a belly which seemed to grow overnight. I'm only 5'4 and was 110 going into the pregnancy. So it figures that I wouldn't show a whole lot right away. I think your fine hun.

Hun, people are different.. others stomach's grow faster than others.. it all depends on the size of your baby. If you are worried then go to see the mid wife she should be able to help you. But i was 3 months pre-mature (born early) and doctor's said i could have died.. i was 2 pounds when i was born.. 2 pounds!! That's nothing right? So as long as your baby is born at the right time then he/she should be perfectly fine. I hope that everything turns okay in the end. Do not worry about it.. Unnecessary depression is not good in pregnancy! Here is a site which might be of help.. http://www.articlesbase.com/womens-issues-articles/size-of-your-belly-while-pregnancy-19228.html

When I was pregnant with my daughter, I wasn't showing by 20 weeks either. I also have a friend, that's 20 weeks along also, and she does not look pregnant at all! It depends on your body shape and where you're carrying the baby. You're completely normal! Congrats and good luck!

I will also be 5 months on Saturday! I have a big belly. I have been showing since I was 3 months, but this is my third baby. With my first daughter I didnt show till I was almost 6 months. With my second I showed at 5. It all varies. Usually with your first baby it takes a while to show. Here is a website with pregnant women's bellies.

At 20 weeks some women don't look really noticeably pregnant, that is perfectly ok and normal. My wife didn't look very pregnant at 20 weeks either, but is starting to show now a few weeks later. It's different for everyone, and that's totally normal.

All women are different. You should never try to compare yourself to any other pregnant woman. I didn't really start to show until around 6 1/2-7 months. As lond as your doctor tells you your fine, then you are. Congrats!

I didnt start showing with my daughter until I was 6 1/2 months along. It depends on your body and how it takes on the weight.
