I have been breastfeeding my son since childbirth and still have no period. I also had my tubes tied like a day or two after his birth. Can this be the culprit? I'm worried. I can't remember when I got my period back after having my daughter (she's six now).

Breastfeeding is the reason. Many women don't have a period until they stop breastfeeding all together. Just enjoy the break!

Each situation after having a baby is different even when breastfeeding. I have read some women have delayed periods while breastfeeding, it is not uncommon. In the past many relied upon it as a form of birth control. Check with ob doctor just in case.

Breast feeding at regular intervals can prevent the period from starting up again. It's nature's way of controlling how soon a woman can get pregnant again if she still has a nursing baby to care for. Frequent, regular nursing affects the cycle by altering hormone levels.
It's imperfect protection, so I wouldn't rely on it to prevent pregnancy. The point is that it's normal and even expected that you may not have periods.

Breastfeeding can cause cessation of period or less heavy periods. Also, having your tubes tied changes hormones and ovulation causing changes in your period it is not suprising that the combination of breastfeeding and tubal has caused no period.

WHEN YOU BREASTFEED YOU EITHER DONT HAVE A PERIOD OR IT IS VERY LIGHT. MINE WAS VERY LIGHT WITH MY SON,AND I DIDNT GO THE FULL 6 WEEKS EITHER. JUST HAD IT A MONTH AT THE MOST,AND IT WAS LIGHT.
