You cannot buy a Rover 75 brand new as all cars that came out of the Longbridge Works will now have been sold off to Car Supermarkets or through the Auctions in order for the creditors to get some of their money back. I doubt if you'll find one sitting around at say one of the many car storage places on old air fields across the country. The companies who bought the rights to both the Rover and MG brands will be exporting cars to the UK under both names though the Rover name is slightly different (Roewe) sometime next year. Nanjing will export three versions of the 75 model starting with the Comfort Model at around 12,000 up to a stretch version for around 13,500/14,000. In certain parts of the UK where there are Sangyong Dealerships you'll be able to purchase the MG version of the 75.

MGF's have just started production again at Longbridge also.

You may be able to find an unregistered Rover 75 (try SMC in Slough http://www.smc-rover.co.uk/ )

However, bear in mind that production stopped in April 2005, so the car could be more than 2½ years old, just unused (which isn't good for tyres, bearings, brakes ...)

There are two derivatives of the Rover 75 being produced in China - the MG7 produced by Nanjing Automotive Corporation and the Roewe 750 produced by Shanghai Automotive Industrial Corporation - but neither is as yet available outside China.

Rovers are now made in Nanjing China,so you can still buy a new one. Go check search engines on Yahoo or Google that will tell you who will import them.
