The only point I can see is to prvide us with a new bit of rhyming slang; 'that blokes a right James Blunt..'.

Every generation needs an innocuous, high-voiced male singer to sing us soft-pop songs. I guess that's what James Blunt is for. He's like our generation's answer to Christopher Cross or something...

i think he is a very good songwriter and vocalist. if you cannot listen to ' no bravery' which depicts experiences that he and his colleagues observed during their time in the army whilst serving abroad (i cannot remember where- maybe bosnia or serbia?) without a lump in your throat the first time you hear it then i am afraid you must be hardened to life. i think 'back to bedlam' is an excellent first album and i hope he can keep up with that quality or surpass it. he may not be liked by all but at least he tells his own story and does not do 'covers'!!!!!

Well he's had a lovely influence on cockney rhyming slang (james blunt - c**t). Can't stand the man. Useless ****. And he has a face you want to slap.

What's the point of asking what's the point?

OK seriously, I like his voice and his songs. I've met him and he's a very funny, kind and gentle person.
