I had a friend who was recently diagnosed with a UTI. She started taking the prescription she was given but the pain didn't go away and she started to get so bloated she couldn't button her pants. She went back to the doctor and found out that her appendix had ruptured the week before. This very well may not be what is going on with you but you should be safe and call for a second appointment. Perhaps visit the ER. Yeah it could be nothing and you could be better in a couple days but one doctor visit is less of a stress than spending a week in the hospital. Good luck!

Yes, you need antibiotics. AZO will hide the symptoms but not cure it, so it'll just linger on and on and possibly go to your kidneys. Pink off colored blood is a symptom of a UTI. Don't be too concerned about that. Stop taking the AZO for at least a day, probably two, BEFORE going to the doctor. The AZO will mess up your urine sample. But you NEED to go to the doctor. Also, taking cranberry supplements will help (I find they work better than juice because most cranberry juice is too sweetened, and the sugar has the opposite effect that the cranberries have).

Hi...what you can do is drink alot of water to flush the kidneys and try drinking cranberry juice. The high acid content in cranberries kills bacteria in the kidneys. The hot flashes are from the infection. Try the cranberry juice it really works. I had a UTI once and it helped me.

Go back to Urgent Care or the ER, that doesn't sound like a bladder infection. I've had several bladder infections over my life and none of them were that bad. The pain is usually the worst when going to the bathroom, which is not what you're having. Seems urgent to me, go get it checked out!

you have to wait it out. The antibiotics will help if you have a kidney infection as well. So, give it a few days. Take Aleeve.

Sounds like you may have a kidney or bladder stone. You should see your doctor and request a bladder/kidney ultrasound.

you obviously have something a bit more severe than just a UTI....suggest you return to the emergency room and demand adequate diagnostics and treatment.
