Video poker has much better odds, if you know what to look for.

On VP you get to make a decision that has a bearing on the outcome of the game, on slots you make no decision other than to put your money in.

There are VP games in which you have a long term advantage over the house, there are no slot machines that have an advantage.

Best VP
9/6 JOB - 99.5%
10/7 DB - 100.2%
JWKOB - 100.7% or 101% with 4700 RF
FPDW - 100.8%
This is the long term return with perfect play.

No. There is video poker and there are also video-themed slots. Most slots are no longer one-armed bandits, but push-buttoned bandits. If you are trying to rack up casino points (with a casino card), the slot machines are the best you can play. Most of the newer slot machines have anywhere from 9 to 100 lines and and you can play upto $5.00 per roll. But video poker machines give you a little more control of your gambling budget, but if you don't know how to really play poker, the slots might be your best bet.

Video poker is not the same as slots. NV gaming laws run video poker differently from slots.

Video poker has to run on random numbers which generate the cards dealt. Similar to real poker. You have control. over the game by working towards the best hand.

The result of the slot "pull" is set the instant you "spin" or hit "credit"

Your odds at video poker are better than slots, the trick is picking the machine that offers you the highest payouts.

Go on pogo or another game site and try them out. They are good practice for video poker. Slots takes no thinking at all .. just push the button. Video poker you have to make decisions. If you are tired ..play the slots. If you are up to thinkng .. play video poker. Good luck and start out small to learn the games.

no, you have a much better odds of winning money on video poker. In some cases the house has no edge whatsoever whereas they always have an edge (sometimes a BIG one) at slots. Play video poker

It's much better You have an active roll in determining your "fate" since you can choose how to play each hand by which cards to hold....

Also there are lots of machine variations which have a "minimum winning hand" (aka Jack or better/2 pair of better...etc) And lots of wind card versions Joker Poker/Deuces Wild.....ETC......

If you have a good understanding of Poker and the odds of "catching a hand" after discarding you have a better than average chance of always coming out ahead on video poker......(if you want to "study up" there are several good books on playing video poker ..check them out on someplace like amazon.com

Slots on the other hand is something a trained squirrel could do....Pull lever watch dials spin....repeat.....

Good luck!!!

Good Luck on your trip, Slot's and Video Poker are sucker bet's. However, they can be fun to play if you set yourself a limit(not knowing what your bankroll is) I would advise you to take it easy. If it was me I would study and learn how to play the crap's tables, they are your best odds if you know what you are doing! Trust me! I have had some VERY, VERY, good Win's on the crap's table's but it takes a lot of knowledge on how to play. Good Luck!
