Toyota is a Japanese firm.
The original name was Toyoda and, the named evolved over the years into it's present form.
Toyota has several North American manufacturing plants an is now, supplying some of the cars to our continent thru these plants along with, sending some in from the homeland.

We import many of them from Japan, but Toyota also has built factories in the United States. Most Toyota's in the US are built in the US.

Toyota is a Japanese company. the company makes cars all over the world, with several plants in the united states of America as well as other locations in north America. they also have plants in Europe, and on all the other continents except Antarctica. and yes, they do have facilities in communist china, as well as free China (Taipei)

an export would be based on the country it was shipped from, thus if the vehicles were manufactured in a US automotive plant, and sent over to somewhere such as Canada for sales, they would be an american export. If they were shipped from China, they would be a chinese export.

they are from japan and they're imports. there are factories in the us though that manufacture some models.
