My wife and I took a Disney cruise (Disney Wonder) about three years ago. Just like the normal Disney World Magical Express service that takes you from the Orlando airport to your Disney World hotel without having to touch your luggage at the Orlando airport, Disney Cruise Line's Magical Express service works the same way. The Magical Express shuttle bus service is a comfortable ride, and the bus has little television screens that show videos that get you in the mood for your cruise. Although the check-in lines were long, the actual wait time was not bad at all. The embarkation buffet and party was a nice way to start the cruise. And of course, the party had little kids dancing.

The food was good (neither great nor bad), and the buffets had a good variety. The buffets were about on par with Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom, but with a tad more variety. Each of the regular restaurants were nicely individually themed, although I hesitate to give away any surprises. There is one "adults only" restaurant on board, and it was nice enough that I did not mind wearing a suit for dinner. Also, my wife and I had a great view of the ocean from this restaurant (Just remember to make reservations as soon as you can.).

There were "adults only" areas of the ship, including a pool area with whirlpool tubs. Disney's private island (Castaway Cay) was nice with an "adults only" beach area. Although it was pretty windy on that side of the island during our stay.

Disney advertised that the cabins were 25% larger than the cruise industry's average, but I'm not sure if that is true anymore.

Overall, service on the ship was of the Disney class of service. There were little things that made this voyage "magical." Alas, although many Disney characters were seen on the ship, the Winnie the Pooh characters were missing. I suspect it is because these characters are not actually owned by Disney, but actually licensed by Disney (not many people know this).

I would recommend the Disney Cruise Line to Disney fans of all ages.

I went to Disney World about 4 years ago with my son. He is 12 now. I had talked to someone after I went. They went to Disney World first and then on the cruise. They said if they had to do it all over again, they would have just went on the Disney Cruise. They said that the characters interact with the kids more on there. That is what I would like to this within the next year.

My daughter and I took my grandson (then 10 years old) to Disney World for a 6 day whirl and ended it with a 3 night cruise on the Disney Magic.

The ship is beautiful, the food outstanding and plenty of activities for the kids. My grandson LOVED it; my daughter and I endured it.

I would never choose to sail on a ship overrun with 1000 children, no casino, no smoking almost anywhere, very few "adult only" areas and happy little Disney characters all over the place making me crazy. But, I sacrificed my own paradise for my grandson. (Ain't I wonderful?).

Truly, it is a great experience for kids and families.....but I'm glad I only have ONE grandson and don't have to do it again. I take him with me once a year now (he's pushing 17) and we go on grown-up ships....he has a ball!!! And--so do I.

I went on one three years ago. We did the three night cruise. It was really great. The food was amazing, the staff was friendly and there were so many things to do. They have babysitting service, so if you have kids, you can get some "you time". The night life was fun, shows, theme nights in the bars. So many offerings! I want to go again soon!

Alot of fun!!! Even if you don't have kids. The food was good but I think Royal Carribean meals are better. That's just my opinion.

I heard of one family. The parents and older children weren't impressed. The young ones loved it. They said they wouldn't do it again.
