I think the dewpoint was 85 or 86 that day. The temp and humidity were like 100.1 and 66 or 67%. You can watch the scroll bar at the top of our neighborhood weather station.

Well, I can't find heat index, but there's been a week of temperatures above 100 in August. I believe August 14th we had 104 F, but I can't find heat index listed. I found where I can figure it out mathematically, but considering there were 6 days above 100 F, I think I'll just let it be instead of figuring it all out.

Oh, yeah, north Louisiana.

Edit: I found a place I could just plug in the numbers so I wouldn't have to do any math. I put in the low number for the humidity (57) and got 140, and I really don't want to put 82 in there. And, yes, I used actual temp, and not extremes. The records were set in 1940 something and are really close to what they were this time. Neat!

That's the link to the day, and has all the information. No heat index listed and I don't have a clue how to calculate it, just found a heat index calculator online...

Wow!! That's really impressive...but slightly unbelievable. Do you know what the dewpoint was? That would require a dewpoint of greater than 86 F, which is possible, but higher than I've seen in the US this year. I've seen similar indexes for Mexicali, Mexico (on the border with California), but I don't really believe those either. If you can give the date and time I'd appreciate it. The hottest at my house occurred yesterday--we had a heat index of 105 (with a temperature of 107).
