Everyone says that Its much more expensive to live in Florida... Could you give me some examples? What is expensive and by how much? Could you compare it to Ohio's cost of living. I want to move because I hate cold weather. Thanks for your help

Im not for sure... I have never been to Florida I just know that I HATE cold weather. It would have to be somewhere cheap.. I dont care if its by the water.. It can be 2 hours away from the water for all i care... I would like to be in a pretty good sized city... With good employment..

I'm a born Floridian, my husband is from ohio (columbus) and his family is still up there. EVERYTHING is more expensive here, houses by a lot, food in the grocery, eating out, car insurance, house insurance, etc. wages are not generally any better, and sometimes are worse. that said, it never snows here. why dont you try taking a trip down here and see how you like it. its lovely in winter, pretty hot in summer. see if you can handle it

You need to narrow it down.

Miami - 2 million dollar house.

Pasco county florida - 50,000 dollar house.

Same house 8 hours apart.

Where do you want to live?

In the middle of nowhere,
Small town,
Large City,
On the water.

Florida is like anywhere else - you pay for location.
