Well I happen to work at a place (not Subway) that makes subs, and we use an ice cream scoop also... Believe me it is MUCH easier than any other option. Tuna sticks to stuff like spoons.. but with the ice cream scoop you just squeeze the handle off pops the tuna!! In perfect portions no less!!

It's a standard measure. Everyone gets about the same amount of tuna, and Subway can calculate how much to charge.

i worked at a subway once - it is much easier because tuna tends to stick,and the scoop plops it out.also - so that the portions are the same.

because if you use a spoon you would get a different amount every time because you could pile more on and it you flatten it you wont get anything...and so then you would get 4 even scoops, not 4 little ones or 4 big ones.

Because Subway doesn't sell IcE cReAm.................lol.........they had all these damn ice cream scoops and they're looking at the tuna, right?, following me? and they're thinking, what if? then...............light bulb............
