Vick's Dog Fighting Ring/nationwide breeding and killing of dogs?

He knew this was a crime in the US and had a nationwide dog fighting breeding program and a dog fighting ring on his property. However, dog fighting started deep in the South with gangs and now is all over the US and is still a gang related activity. What should happen to him? How can we stop these idiots from torturing/killing animals? Is this why gangs murdering is easy for them? I'll answer this question, I say yes.

There will always be cruel people in the world who torture and kill animals and move on to torturing and killing people. So we have to cut them off at the knees (figuratively) as soon as we catch them engaging in abusive behavior. Michael Vick probably thought he could get away with it because he's a famous athlete. Athletes are often coddled from the day they show talent in their sport; and it's because of this that many of them think they can get away with reprehensible behaviors. Well, they need to learn that just because they can throw/catch a ball, run fast, etc., that doesn't mean they can get away with hurting others.

As for the unfamous creeps who engage in animal fighting enterprise (there's also a subculture of cockfighting in the U.S., also based originally in the South and also popular with Latinos), maybe antigang police forces and animal rights groups should work together to bring these vicious criminals down.

How we can stop it - you can start right here on YA like you just did, and make people aware of the fact that dogfighting is serious. It desensitizes people from being compassionate.

Also "free-to-good-home" animals can also end up for bait dogs. They'll tape the bait dog's mouth shut and just let the Pit kill them.

You should go to the Wikepedia and look up Michael Vick to see his CHARITABLE contributions. It is pathetic for a man who had the type of money he had and to give so little in return. The Vick Foundation, his largest mentioned contribution, is a shell. Go to the website www.vickfoundation.org. No links no information, just the logo and has been that way for some time. It's a sham. I read he has spent upwards towards $700,000 on this dogfighting thing. How does that compare to the paltry amount he has given to charities? Pretty sad, I would say.

Hey, how'd you like to be one of Vick's pit bulls that just arrived at his kennels, being kicked in ribs for not attacking a little dog (that has his mouth taped), used as training bait. Then when you finally get the idea that you will be beat to death if you don't chew the throat out of the little dog -you tear it up and eat it because that's all you get to eat. Then, what is your reward...Fight fierce teeth gouging pits again and again and even though your face is half chewed off you must win or die, cause if you lose and don't die you will have a slow "hanging" death - and the life will slowly go out of your eyes- while the audience is laughing at you. That's torture my friend. Anyone that makes an excuse (NAACP & Vick fans) for this is a sick, sadistic, and a cruel human that should be locked away before their violence tendencies kill a human!

Here's a shoe on the other paw story: How would you like to be one of Vick's pit bulls that just arrived at his kennels, being choke-chained for not attacking a little dog used as training bait (that has his mouth taped shut and is helpless). Then when you finally learn that you will be choked to death if you don't chew the throat out of the little dog -you rip up it's body and EAT it because that's all you get to eat! Then, what is your reward...You have to fight FIERCE "teeth gouging" pit bulls over and over again and even though your face is hanging and half chewed off - you must win or DIE!, because If you lose and don't die, you will have a slow "drowning" death - where you will be weighted down and held under water while the powerful hands of man (whom you trusted) hold your nose and mouth and there is no air and there is no hope and there is no help and your innocent life is slowing fading and your legs are kicking and flailing and your lungs are bursting, all the while to the cheers of the spectators for their entertainment jollies.

That's torture my friend. Psychologists say these people are dangerous to humans as they have been desensitized and have no compassion.

I have heard the black community say that white people are just prejudice against blacks, (this is a prejudice statement to begin with), I would abhor anyone doing this.
Anyone that makes an excuse (NAACP & Vick fans) for inhumane treatment of animals are just as sick, just as sadistic, and just as cruel and just as dangerous!
