If she has a support system (boyfriend/family) willing to help her raise the children, then really, what right do you have to question what she does? You may not agree with what she does, but it isn't up to you to dictate what other people do with their lives. If the children are well-cared for and the family is happy, that's all that matters.

Cerebral palsy is a disability. It doesn't make her any less human and it doesn't mean she should have less rights than people without disabilities.

It's like all of us saying you shouldn't have children because you can't spell...

This kind of question makes me very angry. It is none of your business whether this woman is having a baby. Do we live in a dictatorship? Can anyone really "let" another person go through with a pregnancy (in other words, do you think forced abortion is okay)? How would you like it if someone was deciding for you about whether or not you should be "allowed" to have chidlren? It is quite frightening to me that there are people in this country who think giving birth to a child is a privilege that only certain people should enjoy. If you want to live in a place where some people are "allowed" to have children, and some aren't, move to China.

the easy answer is there is not any distinction between somebody with cerebral palsy having infants and somebody without cerebral palsy having infants. some couples have problem conceiving and a few do no longer. Cerebral palsy does not inherently influence fertility.

Every woman has the god given right to have children. You say she has help, so whats the problem? She already has a terrible life by being disabled, these children may be the only joy in her life. There are many disabled women out there who have children - some are blind, some have no arms, or no legs, or some are deaf.

Your ability as a mother is not based on whether you have an able body - it is based on how you can love your children and raise them in a loving and safe environment.

I think you should not worry about what other families do - maybe she wants to have children, maybe her family is there helping her not hindering or using her, rumors are just that rumors and unless you have first hand knowledge of the day to day goings on in her home you should mind your own business - not to sound rude or anything but you do not know what goes on behind closed doors and therefore no amount of speculation will answer your questions properly.

If you feel they are abusing her (physically mentally etc) in some way, call the police, or a social worker even an adult protection officer let them investigate and if there are any shady dealings they can sort it out, otherwise just mind your business it does not concern you.

If she cannot do anything for herself, does she live with her boyfriend voluntarily? Does she agree to have sexual intercourse with him? She may not physically be able to care for herself but she certainly seems able to make her own decisions. If it is up to somebody else to decide if she has a baby, then who decides if she has sex with this man? Why shouldn't a disabled person be allowed to have children? It sounds like she has the support and she can still love the child. There is no reason she should miss out on this precious gift. It is no different to having a baby with a disabled husband, or becoming disabled after giving birth. I wonder if other people had to care for her, they would realise just how little money compensates them for their complete devotion to their daughter.

Why shouldnt she be aloud to bring a child into the world, children need love clean clothes food on the table and routine and even though this woman may not be able to do alot of stuff herself she can still provide everything the child needs with a litle help.

In this situation probably not. Not because of her disability but because she deserves to be with a man who can and will support her not one who won't get married and is mooching off her parents with her.

I'm also making the assumption that she has no other health issues. Cerebral palsy affects a persons ability to control their body in varying degrees, it does not affect their minds or thoughts. They are capable of making and understanding choices and leading their own lives as much as possible.

If she isn't being given a choice in this or in the timing and spacing of her children than there are some Very big issues here. There are unfortunately parents out there who don't always consider what their children want or what is best for them.

I think it is that families business and not anyone else's. Just because the woman is disabled doesn't mean anyone should be able to say she is or isn't aloud to have children.
that is awful!
This is an ideal situation, but you aren't the one in it. So if her parents and boyfriend take good care of them, what is the problem?

Let me get this right?...

She has a child and a boyfriend, and is expecting another. Does the boyfriend help with his children?

You say that the mum is making money. That being the woman with cerebral palsy or her mother? And if so... how is she making any money off of such a situation?
