Sharks dont have eye lids. They have a protective coating that covers the eye only during impact or biting. It protects him from any damage. That is what gives them the ghostly appearence when they bite down on things.

Do Sharks Blink

It appears that sharks "blink," because they have what is called a "nictating membrane" that they close to protect their eyes against damage or debris getting into their eyes when going after prey. This is a voluntary action. The definition of blink is, "to open and close the eye, especially involuntarily; to wink rapidly and repeatedly. We blink our eyes, involuntarily, to remoisturize our eyes, but we do voluntarily close our eyes, like sharks, when we feel they are being threatened of having something fly into them. So, if we define blinking as an involuntary action, no sharks don't blink.

I don't think they have eyelids because I'm pretty sure no fish has eyelids. But I saw on shark week on TV that when great white sharks heads come out of the water their eyes roll back in their heads to protect their eyes so that they don't get punctured or injured. I don't know if other sharks do though.

They don't blink like you and I do. But they do have a thin membrane that rolls up and covers the eye while feeding.
