Having cycled into london today particulary for the purpose of people watching i found the area around the globe theater along the thames up to and just past tower bridge the best place to go people watching. Cafe culture along there. Public parks or green spaces, natives, tourists, business people you have them all down there. all good fun.

I love people watching in the parks. Some places I went to were Hyde Park, Trafalger Square, and a few other little ones I would come across on my way to Uni. Oh and Covent Garden - there are street performers and all the people watching them it makes for an interesting time. Also like Portabello Road and the street markets.

When I was a bus driver with London Transport back in the 80's I enjoyed driving the 16A along Oxford street. Because of the heavy traffic along there, I was in the perfect position to 'People Watch'. I would recommend any bus that travels along Oxford street (There are many) and grab the seat above the driver upstairs.
