Maddux for sure, he is currently on a 49.1 inning streak with no walks. His Aug. has been unreal for an oldtimer.

He hasn't given up more than 3 runs in any of his last 10 starts either. Gotta love a guy like that giving you quality outings and a chance to win down the stretch. Especially with SD battling ARI for the NL West.

It would have to be John Smoltz he has the best era versus glavine and Maddux
They will probably play on the same teams next year on the braves. Glavine wants to go back same with maddux they said that they want to retire as a braves\

Smoltz, Maddux, or Glavine, and I would have to go with Smoltz right now. If you ask me the same question next month I would have to go with Trevor Hoffman when he turns 40.

Ever? Or this year? This year Wakefield or Maddux, but Clemens is probably the best pitcher we have seen in the thirty years. I am a fan of Moyer myself ... he will be 45 this fall.

i has to be Maddux, because in order for maddux to get a win he has to pitch a shut out because he gets no run support glavine gets a lot of run support...

Smoltz is still dominate and winning, Madduz is still getting people out with mirrors (no smoke left!) the most intriguing is Moyer who is 45 and still has 40 years left in that noodle he has for a left arm!
