I am thinking that I have a leaking heater core, but I need my car all this week to get to work and back, this weekend I don't really need it so I was going to take it to get it checked out then..so would driving it for the next four days do any damage?

If the heater core is leaking, it is not safe to drive. The car can overheat and damage the engine if you aren't careful.

However the heater core can easily be by-passed. This will allow you to drive the car, but you won't have a heater inside the car until you get the heater core fixed.

I'd say it was okay to drive the car, just keep an eye on the heat. If the car overheats, pull over somewhere and let it cool down (that will take a while, but at least you won't damage the engine). If it doesn't overheat, there's no problem. Overheating doesn't hurt a car unless you ignore it and keep going.

And you might check the fluid level every day and top it up if it's low.
