To answer your question (in your answer to my question...confused yet?) "The Great Muta" is "on vacation" until football season is over.

Anyway:

The Good- LSU, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Vandy

The Bad- Miss. St., Auburn (they looked awful most of the game against a rebuilding K-State)

Here's my thoughts.

LSU- Good D but their O-line needs a lot of help.. I mean MSU damn near got 2 safeties. Overall a decent performance though

Florida- They looked good all around from the first snap till the game was called due to weather.

Auburn- They had a slow start against a decent team.. I mean you can't call K-State a cream puff now can you. They settled down and took care of business in the end.. I expect next game we will see more of the 4th quarter Auburn team.

South Carolina- The D needed help and you can't judge the O seeing as how they didn't play their starting QB.. we'll know more about them when they play Georgia next week

Georgia- They looked pretty solid

Alabama- Not much of a test for an opener.. we'll know more when they play Vanderbilt next week.

Arkansas- Other than a bad second quarter the D looked pretty solid, the O was what you would expect.. a rushing powerhouse.. C. Dick was a little more efficient than many thought he would be... that's a good thing for the backs.

MSU- WOW.... What a first half against LSU... If they can get their O working for them they will pull more than a couple of upsets this season.

I don't really have a comment on any of the others.

My humble opinion, after last Saturday:

LSU's defense is as usual great, their offense was a tad slow, but improved.

Florida still works both sides of the ball well (hello! TEBOW!) & I don't get why the defending national champ was ranked lower than #2 pre-season.

Auburn, typical Auburn..starts slow, gives fans a heart attack and at the last moment their Defense pulls it out for them..They can't continue this way through the season, however. Brandon Cox needs to settle down, they need to work on kick off returns and the D needs to secure their tackles.

Alabama..who knows? Not much of a challenge for them on Saturday, but the fans were able to lick their wounds and continue with their Saban-worship. They DO actually have a coach this year, so we'll see what happens with Vandy. Could pull an upset at Jordan-Hare this year.

Tennessee needs to work on both sides of the ball, and Phil Fulmer needs to go on a diet!

Georgia is a contender once again for the conference title, if they can keep from blowing the big plays.

Mississippi State is screwed.

Arkansas looked OK. Passing game still not a factor unless you line up Darren McFadden at QB--42 yard pass comp. Special teams look good. defense will be in shape soon O-line is missing last years starters. Good thing we have a bye this week before Bama.

I felt bad for Auburn. I'm a K Stater and we didn't expect to be so tough for them. The score may have been totally different if the officials had pulled their heads outta their a**es and called things as they were. K State had 3 personal fouls that weren't at all correctly called! We did have a lot of legit little ones, but it was like OU/Oregon all over. Piss poor officiating. Auburn came back and won the game legit and kicked our butts, but they have their work cut out for them in the SEC, thats for sure!

Good- LSU, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt.

Bad- Kentucky, Ole Miss, Miss State, Auburn, Alabama, and Arkansas ( don't like that school).
