I agree in the since that many people make the same argument about Barry Bonds. These people then hammer Pro Wrestling for its "out of control" steroid use. The problem is in the fact that many pro wrestlers die young and the entire Chris Benoit tragedy. . While you can argue how much steroid use had to do with this, the public perception is that "roid rage" is an undeniable fact and that all wrestlers are juiced up animals.

Because not all wrestling is fixed, and it teaches young wrestlers if they want to make it further than just high school the better way is to work hard for it, and alot of steriods out there are illegal. It would be like saying a runner should be ok to take a drug to help them run faster and longer. Also steriods are unsafe, it leads to many wrestlers to commit suicide, and in Chris Benoit's case double murder and suicide. Wrestling whether its fake or real, is still a sport, they both have to work very hard, and as in the wwe wrestling they do put the risk of injuries on the line doing the stunts they do. Athletes whether it may be a sport that involves contact or not should train all the same old fashion way, with alot of hard work and preserverence.

I know it's fake. But they do it for the same reason baseball or football players do it. If they get bigger and stronger and perform better in matches, Vince will take notice on how much they have improved and will make them main event wrestlers. When they become a top wrestler, the more money they make.

It matters because steroids are dangerous drugs. If it is the "norm" in the wrestling industry to take steroids then anyone wrestling for them who doesn't take steroids may become out-casted or unacceptable.

If someone in your family wanted to become a wrestler you would not want them to become involved with steroids. Even if they didn't start taking steroids, you would not want friends of the family assuming that they are on steroids just because of their job.

Wrestlers also have TONS of CHILDREN as fans, and as a society, we don't want our children to think it's okay or acceptable or normal.

It's a mentally altering drug as well as physically and it is not fair to their opponent, even when the acts are "staged". Someone could get seriously injured unintentionally or as a result of rage.

I hope this helps.

i'm happy that somebody the Owen is the main suitable there is/become rather of Bret. i admire wrestling regardless of the shown fact that it taking off to get right into a rut i'm hoping they dig themselves out of in the previous WM 24. aside from Owen Hulk Hogan, super Bossman, Ric flair, Undertaker and Orignal / 2007 DX don't get me incorrect i admire any others yet those are by way of a strategies in my opion the better of the main suitable.

It's illegal.
And steroids don't help wrestlers win matches .. the matches are set up. Roids just give them the muscles they need in order to perform moves.

We are in the midst of a steroid scare, with Barry Bonds, Balco and the latest tradgdy of Chris Benoit the country wants people to blame. They are just making examples out of them. BTW: There is no proof that steriods did anything to aide Benoits killing his family and himself. People just assume and you know what happens when people assume...

Obviously for their personal HEALTH.

Regardless of the purpose, anabolic steroids and other performance enhancers can be extremely dangerous.
