that's a really hard question. if i could live forever, would i necessarily be happy? what if i have to live through my children and spouse and friends and loved ones all die? where would i be then? how would i be able to cope with new technologies and how could i possible stay current? i think it would be sad to live forever because your memory can only handle so much, and what if all of the memories you hold most dear now were forgotten for useless memories? i think it would be better to be able to see what the future is like then to live forever.

Not forever. Unless my loved ones could live forever with me. And, even then, i'd rather choose how long i'd want to live.
