Traffic lights because each entry point gets an equal opportunity, plus with todays transponders, if no traffic is approaching from one entry, that one stays on red so improving the flow from other directions.

Having spent many years in both England and the US, I think the English system of roundabouts is superior to traffic lights for light to medium traffic. For heavy traffic, it's a toss up. I think that roundabouts are generally safer than traffic lights, provided the driver has some grey cells working.

At peak times I think there should be traffic lights working at roundabouts. I live in Spain and that's what happens here and it works well.

The large motorway roundabouts have lights as well and they seem to work quite well. I do think that lights can help traffic if they are co-ordinated at very busy junctions

I often think that. However at roundabouts that only get busy at certain times they normally add lights to each entry lane aswell.

in my city we have roundabouts with lights on them. it is a better system but not by much, they never let enough cars through at a time.

I always find that the traffic moves better when traffic lights have broken and we have to fend for ourselves, i dont know about anyone else though.

Traffic lights. When they're broken, you'll realize how good they work.
