because conservatives stand for moral values and they love to make a point when a conservative is caught being immoral. Since you libs over look the immoral behavior of many of your liberal dems in office, does that mean you have NO MORALS??

wtfdubbya....so using your logic:just for arguments sake, if you were a drug addict now or at sometime in your life...would you tell your children that its ok to do drugs because to say anything other then that would be hypocritical since you yourself do it...what a bunch of liberal hog wash.

Well that is it exactly. Immoral people wait for any chance they can for validation of their lives by the the misery, mistakes, and misteps of others blind to the sheer hyposcrisy in doing so. The same people that told us that Clintons immorality has nothing to do with his leadership are going to lecture us on how wrong we are for advocating high and objective morality when perspectively one of us fails to live up to those standards?

Really - seems to me the "conservatives" are the ones behind forcing Craig's resignation - true?
He is considered a hypocite because he was denouncing the same thing he was doing - that is being a hypocrite by Webster's definition isn't it?
If he just wanted a BJ in a bathroom no "liberal" would care - hell he could give one to Dubbya and I wouldn't care.
His mistake was he tried to come across as being on the high and mighty moral ground denouncing homosexuality while he had a mouthful of D*CK!
That about sums it up doesn't it?
BTW - it sounds like the "conservatives" are on the fence with this one. Some are holding him accontable to "family values" while others look like they don't mind one of their own giving/getting BJ's in a public men's room.
Which side of the fence are you on? Sounds like you think the BJ's are OK - true?

Is it a bad thing that we stand for moral values? We aren't the party OF moral values but we do stand FOR them.
I would like it if ALL people did but I guess Conservatives corner the market since some liberal Democrats don't.

You know the model this lib lives by?
People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.
Notice the word PEOPLE in that statement. No other labels.
With that said....
Why is Vitter still in office? Are you guys that afraid of a democrat replacing him?
Which leads to...
Would conservatives pressed so hard for Craig to resign if there was a chance a democrat would have been appointed?

Amen dittos.
The Craig and Folley resignations just go to prove a few facts.
1. Both sides have their scum
2. The Republicans flush their scum
3. The Democrats re-elect and promote their scum.
examples Ted Kennedy see www.ytedk.com
Barney Frank
Gary Studds

enable me to proportion this piece of advice to you regarding you rant: "you're a truth seeker, Thrasymachus, and nicely understand that in case you ask a man or woman what numbers make up twelve, taking care to restrict him whom you ask from answering two times six, or thrice 4, or six cases 2, or 4 cases 3, 'for this form of nonsense won't do for me,' —then needless to say, that is your way of putting the question, no you could still answer you."

No, we believe that people's private lives are their own business.
However, if someone (say a minister or conservative politician) is up there taking the moral high ground and preaching to others about virtue, etc., and then that same person is exposed as a fraud, they are, quite rightly, going to be ridiculed by the public.
BTW, I see that a lot of you guys get your talking points about Republicans supposedly "cleaning house" from none other than Mr. Sleaze himself, Tom Delay.
Why isn't he in jail yet?

Well, it would seem the Libs have no standards to adhere to. If they did, why is every single infraction of a liberal democrat be overlooked? (William Jefferson comes to mind.) They will argue "innocent until proven guilty"...............not so much in Craigs case. Thank God the GOP demands better of their leaders.
