I got asked to mention the games name...
Medieval Total War 2.
Also, Yes, the game is compatible with Vista.
You dont need any Patches or anything.
Thank you for your time.

Id get some more ram also this depends on the speed of the memory... i currently am running 2gb (2048mb) PC 3200 DDR and vista Ultimate edition and notice some slow downs.

Also you CAN run the game in Vista using Windows XP compatibility mode also you will need to set the game to run as an administrator by right clicking on the shortcut and clicking run game as Administrator

The 8500GT graphics card is very nice will run the game no problems, im assuming the Hard drive will be a SATA or SATAII drive again this will help with the running of games and vista as the CPU can access the hard drive quicker.

Also i have read that you should double the speed of the processor... DON'T do that as you should think of a dual core CPU as 2 separate CPUS, Vista will manage them independantly, and it will choose which processor to use and balance the power of your pc...

The hardware sounds fine for the game - the limiting factor is often the graphics card/processor rather than the CPU. The NVIDIA 8500 GT should be more than ample for your needs - although you do not state the games graphics requirments, I am assuming it just needs Direct X 9.0c.

HOWEVER, Windows Vista is another matter entirely! If you can buy the PC with Windows XP then do so.
Vista is a very new operating system and many products are not yet fully compatible with it. If this game was written more than a year or so ago then there is a chance it will not work wiith Vista. Check the publishers website for info & compatability with Vista.

Like many Microsoft products, Vista may be best left for a few releases before using! Check some gamers sites & reviews. You may find your game works much better under XP.

Yes that will run it perfectly but if you have the extra 20 quid i would get the MUCH better graphics card 8600gt it would make alot of difference on your gaming

hope this helps!

Requirements compared to PC-
Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E6320
# 1.86GHz, 1GHz FSB, 4MB Cache ( Yes thats fine for your game!!)

Genuine Windows Vista (R) Home Premium( Yes thats fine just make sure you have the latest drivers)

2048MB RAM Memory( 512MB recommended, that should be Plenty!)

Your DVD drive is Dual Layer so its most likely to be that same speed or over!

11 GB's of free space( Well with a 320GB hard drive youve got 29.09 times that!!!)

Your graphics card should be fine but for future gaming i really do think its worth if you can getting that 8600GT.

Hope this helps !

Complicated... Vista involved :(

For future reference you want to extract the following data.

Processor;
# "Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E6320"
# "1.86GHz", 1GHz FSB, 4MB Cache

what needs to be extracted. duo = Dual core ( double the processor speed. Speed. The number preceding GHz, in this case 1.86.

Match the processor up with requirements.

Celeron "1.8GHz" Pentium 4® (1500MHz) or equivalent AMD® processor.

1.8ghz needed, you have 3.6 (not going into detail about the complications)

Graphics: Most games will require a graphics card, or 'video memory'

# '256MB' NVidia GeForce 8500GT Graphics

256mb is all you need to match up.

100% DirectX® 9.0c compatible 16-bit sound card and latest drivers

Nothing really needs to be matched up here. This game does not really require a seperate graphics card (what you have).

OS:

English version of Microsoft® Windows® 2000/XP

You have vista, you should be able to play the game. Check the vista compatiblity section for what you need to do.

Thats the bare bone basics you need to understand about shopping for games, which are compatible with your computer.

It certainly will, but the vista operating system will probably require a patch to run the software depending on how new the game is, there are still alot of conflicts being as vista is so new. Double check with a shop if you want but a downloaded patch should be made available for most recent games now. The hardware is fine though.

the system specs are good apart from the graphics card and cpu...try and get a Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 and at least a Nvidia 8600gs 256MB graphics card... if you can get that computer with these upgrades then you should laughing...or even just the graphics card because that card won't be able to handle much in the way of games....

This is very simple, you don't need to be technical at all. Look:
Your computer has 1.86GHz, the game needs 1.8GHz, so its fine.
You have 2048 MB RAM the game needs 512MB so its more than enough.
Theres nothing that mentions the graphics card requirements for the games but with a 256MB Card you will be fine with any game I think.
Have fun. :)

No, the (unnamed???) Game Specs say:

"English version of Microsoft® Windows® 2000/XP" - the Game's specs don't mention that it is Vista compatible.

Check the Game software website to see if the Vista Version is available, if not you will have to wait for them to write the Vista version.

If we knew the name of the game, another user could offer better advice.

Nice PC though.

The PC looks fine but i would check to make sure that the games will work with Vista, not all do.

Type in "malware bytes", into any search engine. Run the setup and do the quick scan. Super easy and free.
