I pledge allegiance to the United States of America, and to the republic for which she stands, one nation under god indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

America includes two continents North America and South America. You are speaking of the United States of the Americas. There are times I'm not proud of this country. I optimistic now that we're changing direction. I'm assuming you don't love this country and aren't proud because most people are ignorant and egocentric, seems like a conflict there. Are we great because we can manipulate and control people with power? Are we great because through capitalism we can concentrate wealth and then be merciful and give enough back to pacify. From each different vantage point the US will look differently.
