For one, we have the ability to totally ********* things up.
Even though we have the highest potential to manifest something other than simple survival of the species, we actually have proven our ability to use that to our detriment. (and sadly the detriment of other species that we share the planet with)
On a brighter note. We have the ability to be conscious of ourselves and can in fact ponder all sorts of interesting things.
It is our frontal lobe that makes the difference between us and animals. In particular the part of the brain that sits in the position that is commonly refered to as the THIRD EYE. This part of the brain in humans gives us the capacity to do many things that animals cant do.
Create diverse structures to live in.
Create computers that think.
Create veichles that transport us.
Create medical procedures that prolong our life.
What holds us back is the amygdala, or what is refered to as the reptillian part of our brain. This is highly voliltile and prone to emotions over riding logic.

Actually they do suffer and a lot, just visited a farm, a zoo, etc. and pay attention, plus visited veg website, they have information on this regard. The bird in very small cage, forced to grow 4 month faster, they bicks are even choped of the top, just not to bick each other due to they imense agony of being unable to walk freely and live and sleep with so litle space , in filthy and explotation. They are mad, as many others animals too. Cow are socialized animals, and forced to live separatly from others and from they young , they suffer depression, that is why, we find a lot people suffering from depression, where the consuption of meat, specially non free range meat are present.
