The fuel delivery driver pulled into a busy terminal, the lot was full of travelers, their vehicles were lined at the pumps when an explosion could be seen from miles away. The bomb splattered his blood first, and then his truck, tearing an instant gash into the metal container lighting the spilled fuel as it spread across all those vehicles, flames everywhere. One vehicle escaped the inferno by refusing to stay there, trapped and burned alive. The father drove the family through a barrier of flames, the rubber on the tires were burning to. He managed to drive through a small opening of vehicles out into a safe place not far from the terminal. He has divine guidance, his family saved.

Writing fiction is harder than it looks.

If you'd like to write compelling fiction, a good starting point would be to read a book about point of view. This little story's point of view is a sort of free-floating omniscience that contributes to the lack of drama even though there is plenty of action.
