Looking to rent a minivan in New York and drive to Miami 18th - 31st December. Hire charges look ok but the one way drop off fee is $500. Do any mainstream rental companies not charge a one way fee??

I just ran a search on www.breezenet.com and found a weekly rate for a minivan for $396/week, (about 200 pounds)this was based on pickup at JFK New York and drop off at the Miami Airport (MIA). There was no drop off fee in the summary of charges. Check it out, it may work for you.

I found a few companies that don't have a drop-off fee, but do charge a higher daily rate (example, Advantage, whose daily rate for one-way is $60, and more for minivans).
