It's sad to see all the sexually active teens on here. Something people don't think about. Teens who are well supervised tend to be less active, sexually. I know parents who did just that and their kids weren't pregnant before they got married. There were others who let their kids do it, and they wound up pregnant. They'd be on birth control, and then conveniently"forget", because having a baby would mean they'd get closer, get married, and life would be perfect. Yeah, right, only in their dreams would it be perfect.

Society makes them grow up faster I believe. Most households now have both parents working or there is only one parent in the household. This often forces the child to do more for themself if not help out more around the house. There is the education push (although there is nothing wrong with it) that starts them thinking about college and future career plans before they even go to junior or middle school. I think alot of the teen sex comes from children feeling alone or poor role models, they are not ready for it, but everyone is doing it or then it means they are 'in love' or 'adults'. I don't know that they are in such a rush to grow up as society is pushing them to grow up before they are ready.

Trust me, I DO NOT want to grow up. I'm turning 18. But I wish I could stay 17 all my life! Youth rocks! It's so fun.
To Melissa: There are many other ways of having fun than going to bars and drinking.

for the comparable reason human beings of their 30's at the instant are accumulating Arcade machines for his or her residences. You stick to what You grew up on. even although Beavis and Butt-Head makes little to no experience, i will watch the shit out of that instruct any day over maximum of at present's shows. it is no longer purely Nickelodeon although. keep in mind while CSI replaced into purely CSI? while regulation & Order did no longer have 20~ seasons and prefer 12 off-shoots? Sega Genesis? The ninety's replaced right into a large era for toddlers. i individually have confidence that Hollywood releases content cloth so quickly that they run out of innovations. Why else might they be remaking classic horror video clips and purely ruining them? Does each movie must be in 3-D, Pixar? Do You keep in mind while the only Pixar movie human beings knew approximately replaced into Toy tale? Winnie the Pooh VHS tapes?

Well I enjoy being a teenager and think that my age [16] is amazing and I really enjoy it
But, you have to understand that most of us are emotionally mature enough to look after ourselves but are still controlled by our parents which can become very tiresome.
Also, there is very little to do, we can't drive/go clubbing/drink/go to bars even though we all really want to. Hanging around the local park every night can get so boring.
So you can't blame us for looking forward to having the freedom to enjoy ourselves! Even though we all know that aduthood brings trials and tribulations of its own, and I'm sure we will all wish to be 16 again in a few years time
Hope I answered your question.

it's not entirely their fault. society pressures them to grow up faster. think about it, parents spend most of a child's childhood wishing they'd grow up and act right, but when a kid tries to act like an adult, they get shouted down. so how are they supposed to know what to do? it's an immensely complicated double standard. i agree that kids should be able to enjoy childhood, but i don't know how we can send that message without completely dismantling and rebuilding hollywood.
