I haven't turned 14 yet but, my breasts developed fast. Now I'm a C cup and hope they won't develop any more. I've had some back pain. Mom said I have to get new bras, those kind of bras sometimes called "heavy duty: Much support and coverage, wide bandds and 4 hooks in the back. She says I have no choice, though I guess those bras suck. Mom wants to get me a bra like the one at this site

Tomororrow I'll have a bra fitting. I'll hate that bra, but mom keeps saying I need it, don't know if I can talk her out of it. Is she right? A bra like that sucks, doesn't it?

THAT bra is hideous. There are lots of GOOD full-figure, full-support bras on the market that don't look like you just dragged it from your grandmother's closet. A C-cup is NOT that big...try being a D or DD ... or heaven forbid - LARGER!!

If she's paying for it, let her have the fun of buying that horrid thing, then just go to a store and find a bra that YOU like that doesn't look like some sort of medieval torture device!

It does suck when you're so young. However, if you start taking care of the pain now, you won't have to worry so much when you're older. Really, the only reason you need a bra like that is because you have back pain. You're probably skinny, right? When you're skinnier, younger, and have larger breasts, it can cause damage to your back muscles, meaning you'd have back pain for quite some time, if not the rest of your life.

However, when you go to get fitted, you can look around and sometimes find really cute bras that are more supportive [I bought some at Walmart, they're cute and I think they're huge, but what can I do?] You'll have to buy tank tops with wider straps, but like I said, if you do it now, in the future, you won't have to worry as much. Eventually, if you fill out the rest of your body, you can just buy fuller coverage ones, and you won't have to worry about the huge straps and 4 hooks.

I would talk to whoever is fitting me, about the types I should get, because they're usually trained on what bras are best for what type of breast/women, but a lot of times, it's only when you go somewhere that is a bit nicer [like Macy's or somewhere like that and not Victoria's Secret].

Well I don't think that whatever I say will change your mom's mind... but... you can go into some stores (I live in Canada) like LaSenza, LeVieEnRose, etc... and they have "pretty" bras that give a great deal of support.

I am on the heavier size, and you can buy bras with really great support at stores like Additionelle or Penningtons. They will help you too... like a bra fitting but not so "embarassing". But they are NICE looking.

I've never really owned a bra with 4 clasps and I'm a 36DD... so you don't necessarily need that.

The back pain can be a problem, and your mom may just be concerned about your well-being... explain to her how you feel about this whole situation and ask her to try and "UNDERSTAND" where you are coming from. Parents so often just don't "Get it!"... be patient with her.

You need to get a supportive bra for your breasts, or else you will end up having a lot of back pain and saggy breasts.

Even WITH a supportive bra you could have back pain (speaking from experience).

So the more supportive you get, the better for you and your health.
