So..I'm still not used to this waking up with someone next to me thing. My g/f who is visiting for a week, woke me up this morning to tell me to get up for class. Snooze went off 3 times (as I always program it to, which is why I set my alarm like 30 minutes early) This way even if I hit the alarm 3 times, I'm still waking up at the time I'm supposed to (it's a psychological thing I think to get myself mentally prepared)
Anyway, she keeps nudging me after the 2nd snooze and I semi-coherently say something along the lines of "yeah..l know what I'm doing". So the third time I'm annoyed and say "yeah..I KNOW what I'm doing..damn, leave me alone"
She got mad at me :(

So any of you guys wake up grouchy too?

Yup, I do, I do the exact same thing you do with the alarm.....I am just NOT a morning person, lol

My ex would get pissed that I would set the alarm extra early so I could hit snooze a couple times, he was like her...had to either get up on the first alarm or only did one snooze......people that are not like 'us' dont understand that we NEED that time to actually wake up. Thank God my bf now likes to hit the snooze a couple times like I do and sleep in :)

Yeah, very much... but that also depends on the time I went to bed the previous night. It really doesn't matter whether I'm sleeping alone or next to someone. I mean it's just a habit thing. Can't help it. How can you think straight with your mind still near unconscious? Oh, and I think maybe your girlfriend is kinda grouchy in the morning, too, so she got mad at you ;)

Maybe you should explain to your g/f that this is a routine for you. If she want's to get up on the first alarm, let her, just tell her not to wake you. During the week, I get up at 4:30am, take the dogs out, make coffee, then head off to work at 5am. On weekends, or other days off, my g/f tries not to wake me before 8am.

No, If I had someone next to me I would spend the 30 minutes cuddling not snoozing

I wake up grouchy, I go throughout the day grouchy and I go to bed grouchy. You've got two better over me.

no I'd eventually get up... What's an extra 15 minutes of laying going to do for you? You really have no reason to get angry imo. I'm not grouchy when I wake up, thank god.
