A lot of teachers think because they are leader of the classroom that we should listen and believe what they say. Teachers should earn that respect and should get a chance to earn that. Unfortunately, I had quite of few of the worse teachers that liked to punish or paddle for any reason or excuse as a child and that is why I say be wary. Teacher's should feel compelled to earn the trust and respect of the students. Respect as in admiration. Whereas, by treating them with respect, letting them have the authority that a teacher should have and treating them courteously. There were many I did not respect but I did treat them with courtesy and professionalism.

You ever sit in math class and say to yourself, "When am I ever going to use this?" I use to think that. I have all the respect in the world for my teachers and the fact that they were willing to teach me such odd things. Especially since teacher are so poorly paid. In my line of work, I use that "odd" math on a daily basis, and make $50k per year doing it. You should always respect your teachers, they are the ones who start you out, and prepare you for what lies ahead. So you won't be lost when it comes time to finding a career!
