1.
y= 3*5 -2 = 13
2.
4x - y =6 -> y=4x-6
for x=0 y= -6
for x=1 y= -2
for x=-1 y= -10
3.
y = -3x + 4?
for x=0 y=4
for x=1 y=1
y = mx + c
m=slope
slope = -3

1. Put 5 into the equation for x and find the corresponding value for y. For example, corresponding to x = 10, we have
y = 3*(10) - 2, or y = 28.
2. Make up three values for x and find the corresponding values for y. For example, if x = 1, then 4*(1) - y = 6, or
y = -2. Therefore, the point (1,-2) is on the line.
3. When the equation of a line is in the form y = mx + b, the number m is the slope of the line (and b is the y-intercept).

1. You substitute x for the value 5, so the equation becomes
y = 3(5) - 2
y = 15 - 2
y = 13
2. I assume you mean coordinates by 'points'. In that case, substitute x or y with any number. For example, substitute x as 0, then the equation becomes
4(0) - y = 6
0 - y = 6
-y = 6
y = -6
In this case, the coordinate is in the form of (x,y), which is (0,-6). I'm sure you can find the other two.
3. A linear equation is always in the form y = mx + c, where m is the gradient and c is the constant. In this case, the slope/gradient of the line is -3.

1. y = 3 x - 2
in order to get the y coordinate just substitute the value 5 on the variable x.
y = 3 (5) - 2 = 13
2. give three points that lie on the line 4 x - y =6.
just choose any 3 x points (ANY) and compute for y (like what i did in question 1.)
suppose i choose x = 1, x = 2, and x = 3
at x =1 ---> y = -2 therefore point (1,-2) lie on the line
at x =2 ---> y = 2 therefore point (2,2) lie on the line
at x =3 ---> y = 6 therefore point (3,6) lie on the line
3. bear in mind the equation of the line is y = mx + b
where m = slope and b = y intercept
therefore, the slope of y=-3x+4 is m = -3.
okay? ;p

I don't really understand the last 2 but the 1st is:
y=3x-2 if x is 5 then it's 3x5=15-2=13 the answer is 13
sorryif it might be wrong but that's all I can really give right now

Sounds to me, young lady, that you could and should do a bit more algebra homework. In exams, teachers or examiners would not ask you a question that was not covered in the course.
So, ask your teacher or tutor!!!!!!
