I have read a couple books on Greek mythology and I want to keep reading more. But I want to start from the beginning. In Greek mythology everything connects to a prior event, or mentions a prior event. I want to start from the beginning. Any ideas? Any books? Websites?

Get yourself a copy of Bulfinch's Mythology by Thomas Bulfinch. This is the definitive source for mythology. The one with the Greek myths is called "The Age of Fable; or Stories of Gods and Heroes" (1855). This is the book that everyone else sites as their source.

Sometimes its part of a larger volume that includes "The Age of Chivalry, or Legends of King Arthur" (1858) and "Legends of Charlemagne, or Romance of the Middle Ages (1863"

Its in the public library, cheaper to read because its free and won't strain your eyes by staring at a bright screen for a long time.

Bullfinch is good, but I prefer Robert Graves "The Greek Myths".
