I love Indian food but none of my local friends are into it, so I ususally only go when an out of town friend comes to visit. I was wondering how you all feel about solo dining

take outs not an option- restaurant is 40 mins away. But I think taking a book with me would be a good distraction

I never eat alone, but thats because I can't drive yet..

I don't think it would be awkward if you love the food..
It could be time set aside for yourself.

I have never eaten alone in a restaurant, I think I may feel like a freak. My husband is the same as you, he loves Indian food and no one he knows likes it, so instead of eating alone in the restaurant, he gets it to go. lol

I live alone, and also like food my friends don't. I don't let that stop me and I will dine alone. I am good company and do not feel awkward. If it feels too strange to you, try take out.

i won't be comfortable eating alone - that's much i know. so i usually bring a book or something to distract myself from thinking i'm alone. hah i love indian food too mainly for the curry but the house policy..no cooking of curry stuff because of its strong aroma ;(

I don't see a problem with it......Even so if you like it don't worry about what others think.....I go and eat at our local Chinese restaurant alone all the time.....
