Being that cars have to have air bags do you think it would be a good Idea for Buildings over 100 stories should have Parachutes? Do you think it may have helped out with 911?

It might (very BIG might) help the people on the higher floors, but, for anyone on the lower floors, the chute more than likely won't have time to deploy.

That is a good idea, and also a great expense. I think saving lives would be well worth the loss of that paper we call money. Maybe some type of insurance should cover the cost. I know there would be lots of family and loved ones grateful if those from 9/11 had had this option.

Uhm, maybe? But then the problem is, who's gonna pay for all of the parachutes, how're you going to make sure there's enough for everyone in the building on every floor (b/c you never know what floor ppl are going to be on & where the fire/explosion/etc is going to happen), and who's going to train everyone to use them (and pay for training)?
