When you don't work, Labor Day doesn't hold much significance.
Maybe it should be called Conservative Day so slothful people can show their gratitude to Conservatives who work and their taxes provide food, shelter and clothing for them.

Labor Day was basically instituted and celebrated as a result of labor union efforts. Labor unions usually support liberal candidates.
Also, note that the liberal blue states contribute more in federal tax dollars than they receive back while the conservative red states leech up the federal money from the liberal states and get back more than they contribute.

I work and go to school, so just because I get an extra day off doesn't make me slothful, it just means my office was closed.

I'm a liberal and my husband (also a lib) own our own successful business. We work harder than most people I know. We are also volunteer fire fighters so don't be whining about libs not working. As a matter of fact, I don't have one liberal friend who is unemployed. Quit being such a narrow-minded troll.
