WHY would you care what people who are in favor of animal testing think? Go ahead and offend their beliefs. Their beliefs are wrong.

You should not worry about offending someone who believes in something that is wrong. There are plenty of ways in this day and age to test products without torturing animals. There is always a risk of offending someone, whether it be over beliefs or anything else. You can't hide your beliefs in your head or your heart just to avoid offending someone. You don't have to cram your beliefs down someone's throat but don't hide them from the world either.

If you are worried about offending others who believe differently than you then I would say that there is hope for you.
When you are sick do you go to the doctor?
Have you ever taken any medication and gotten better?
Do you take your pets to the vet?
Are you immunized against Tetanus? Rubella?Measles?
If you can say yes to any of those then you have benefited from animal research.
The fact that you would even care enough to be concerned with offending the people who you believe are wrong is something that sets you apart from extremists.
Did you know that some supporters of animal research are just as passionate about the comfort and quality of life of the animals as people with their private pets?
How much do you really know about animal research? I'm talking first hand knowledge, not something you heard or saw on the internet.

How do you keep ANY of your beliefs without offending someone who believes differently? If you believe in God and someone else does not, how do you keep that belief without offending them? If you believe in abortion how do you keep that belief without offending someone who is against it?
I don't think this question is one that anyone can answer for you; you're going to have to answer it for yourself. I will add that there's a famous quote -- "I may not believe in what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it" -- which is especially true where we are guaranteed freedom of speech, press, and expression. I am at least glad that you don't want to offend the other side and are not interested in crucifying them for their beliefs
Now YOU have to decide exactly HOW to hold on to a belief. (And this is a very difficult thing to do)

Mostly the only thing other people stand by is that "an animal life is worth less than a human life". Of course I oppose animal testing, and there are ways to find cures without infecting an animal. Didn't they find an important breakthrough in the cure of cancer WITHOUT an animal to test on? Basically, there are many other methods that would work much better.

Different issue but I work in a place where my political beliefs are different from many of my co-workers. I listen to what others have to say, respect their beliefs without putting them down, try to learn something from them and their point of view and only put in my two cents in a very factual, non-accusatory way and only when I have something positive to contribute to the discussion. In life, you're going to find a lot of people who disagree with you on things and the key is to find a way to respectfully disagree.

Thats complicated as you know, I try to express myself, without going into it to the point that the other person could think I'm attacking them. Most people with strong beliefs feel they have to defend themselves, so when you say something agianst what they belive, they go into defense mode. "Rock and a Hard Place.

You will not offend anyone by keeping your beliefs to yourself. You will probably not change anyone's mind that holds another belief anyway.

Disagreeing with the opinion of others is not a crime. You are entitled to your opinion, just as they are entitled to their's. So feel free to think what you like, and also to argue with those who have different opinions.
