Was Randy Orton supposed to win the belt at summerslam?

I heard from a whole bunch of bogus wwe spoilers that he was supposed to get the belt & kennedy,michelle mccool and others were supposed to win. I'm guesssing that wwe had a change of plans with the belt because of Randys Drug suspension & were stuck with "The Champ", I was just wondering if they were planning on having cena lose at summerslam?

My theory is this: Orton was never going to win the title from Cena. There are a million spoiler websites and a million people who read them all convinced that it was a done deal. Yeah, I agree Cena has had the title too long, but Orton wasn't going to get the belt. Why? I think it's because of all the negative publicity the WWE's gotten over the past year, especially the Benoit situation, that the WWE can't afford to have Orton as the champion and representative for the company. Why not? Because of his character. "The Legend Killer". "Killer". Randy Orton's character is a despicable, cold-blooded prick who repeatedly kicks people in the head to put them in the hospital and "end their legend". In light of all of the recent deaths of wrestlers and former wrestlers and especially the Benoit situation would YOU want Randy Orton "The Legend KILLER" to represent YOUR company? John Cena, although people are getting pretty tired of him, is a good representative for the WWE. No scandals, no trouble with the police (or military police as Orton has had). Cena is the "good guy" battling all of the evil-doers (including Orton) and vanquishing them. Cena accepts all challenges, never backs down (even when the odds are greatly against him) and doesn't whine or make excuses if he loses. You can't say that about Orton.

I don't visit the spoiler websites; I don't believe those who claim as fact something they read at some spoiler website. I'm not a Cena-lover; I'm not a Cena-hater. This is just my take on the situation.

Remember WM22 when Randy Main Evented the Triple Threat? It was him vs. 619 vs. Angle and Rey won. He wasn't meant to. Randy Orton was meant to win the title and have a long reign as champ. He could very well be in the Great Khali's shoes right about now. There was a planned face turn and everything. None of this happened though. You know why? And im pretty sure that if spoilers keep goin out on the internet all the time then if they werent changed from time to time by the writers itd be kinda pointless watching wwe shows if every1 knew what was gonna happen weeks in advance, the storylines always change because of injuries and suspensions and stuff, so the majority of the spoilers you read are just made up by sum bored kid at home!!

Cena was supposed to win. It was in the script. Now, the Cena haters will buy more tickets and pay per views in hopes of seeing him lose at the next big event.

If you ask HIM he was supposed to. He needs to focus on beating Cena though, not Cena's old man. Randy Orton is a chump for doing that, and I actually like Orton. But that doesn't make him any less of an anus.
