For week one, I like Deuce. Indy can't stop the run. It should be a shoot out. And, we really haven't seen Tom run on that knee yet. Tom should be fine, and he ought to do well. But, there is some downside there if he isn't 100%. When you've got a backup in a situation like Deuce, why not play it safe and use him?

Deuce has the better matchup for week 1. Plus Jones is still learning a new offense.

Thomas Jones has hte making of a star in NYJ. I would start him every time unless McAlister's match up is extremely good.
Jones is clear starter and not splitting carries. also, look at the number of backs NYJ used last year and how well they did. It was pretty good. Now put Jones in that mix with the lion share. He should be fine.

You have to see who they are playing and how did they do before. It doesn't matter how good they are and teams are. Teams that have big rivalries they tend to play better. New England and the Jets is going to be a big game so as the Colts and Saints. So, you'd be the judge. IMHO, I'd start McCallister.

I thought Jones was still hurt or barely coming back.
I would wait on him and play the Duece.
