News being reported makes change. If this was never heard about, there would be little pressure on people to fix the problems.
Controlling the media is exactly how regimes exert control over the poulation.
Obviously, reaching out to children like you is not necessary, but most of the adult thinking population find news important as it affects us and how we live.
I assume you are a child, else you have a very low mental age.

Why do you but a newspaper? Coaches rarely crash so it is news. Since when has a coach arriving without incident been reported as breaking news?
Dog bites man not news. Man bites dog is news

The more publicity to bad driving and drink driving, the sooner people will sit up and listen. Every day innocent precious lives are sacrificed out of stupidity and negligence. If people had to go and spend a day in an accident emergency unit and see the mess that doctors and nurses have to put back together they would hopefully think twice. I think we already have enough of the population in wheelchairs for other reasons. Who knows whats around the corner ? Be lucky !!

Erm - I think you'd have had a different view if you or your family had been involved in the coach crash! You'd be squealing if the media didn't report it!

When I was just 20, my hubby, daughter and I were sitting home and we heard a Whooom! and the house shook. Scared me, but went on with my work. Later, we went downtown for our Saturday ritual to just walk around and browse the stores. We got downtown and there were news trucks, fire engines, cops, people galore all over. Our Pathfinder Hotel had exploded from a gas leak, killing many people I knew. I vowed from then on to watch the news and keep informed.

Keeping records. and it keeps people from congregating, but why? We are being treated like caged birds that pollute the sidewalks. or maybe it is to keep visions of the roads clear so every one can see the new vehicles parading . Yes, look out your window, remember the Marcie's parade? What a focus point.

Because it is news. had it been just a couch crash them you would know nothing about it. But there are other things involved as you know since you saw the news.

because someone's relatives could have been killed on there and they will probably find it out faster through the media than through a copper.
