Recommend that tv cuts down on advertising during the programme (puts most people off watching the show).

Speed of releasing movies from cinemas to tv needs to be increased.

Always look for new actors (and stay away from 'pretty people' but rather stay with actors that can do what they are actually paid to do)

Lack of originality, how many CSI & Law and Order shows do we really need. Also survivor no more PLEASE I can't stand it and don't watch it. I like LOST and Heros but complete the story arc and end the shows don't go on forever.

I think that American TV should take a page from the Brits and don't keep going to the same well all the time. There was a great Brit cop show call "Life on Mars" about a cop who was in a traffic accident in 2005/6 and woke up in the 1970's and how he delt with everything it was two seasons long and the story was resolved. I know it costs a lot to produce quality programming but they don't have to squeese every nickel out of the product.

Competition from without and decay from within and technological advances.

There are a lot more entertainment and information options available today (internet, cable, satellite, etc.) that often times do a better, quicker job of providing news and information and better entertainment.

The technology is coming about where info/entertainment can be sent to wireless devices and made available to the masses.

And as far as decay from within - broadcast tv is no longer the goal for many creators/artists/journalists and thus the programming often found on braodcast tv is lacking in quality. Plus, yesterday, I was flipping through the various local broadcast channels and five (of 12) had the same freaking infomercial on - ugh!

As far as combatting the decreasing audience numbers -
1) better quality programming
2) quicker response for news and information
3) adapt to new technologies, be a part of it
4) stop pandering to the lowest common denominator of society.

People with IQs over 90, and/or "unbrainwashable"? :)))

I'm sure the NWO will figure out how to deal with this "modest challenge".
